As wise man once said, “All the dinosaurs feared the T-Rex”. Not only the dinosaurs, but also all the frontline tanks. Dino is a menace for enemies’ frontline. But Dino also is a free food for a poke-oriented comp.
As Devil Dino
Do not forget that you have a huge hitbox. Use covers, otherwise poke heroes will melt you from a far. Also, there are maps where you can’t use all the routes, because the passes are too narrow for you.
Other than that, your main goal is to apply bleeding to as many players as you can, to improve your sustain and to make your other abilities stronger.
The playstyle on the frontline is simple: bite a target, grab it, throw to your backline, use your shield to prevent the target being healed by enemy supports.
Against Devil Dino
Dino lives when it eats. Make sure that:
- You do not come too close. Do not let him apply bleeding to you.
- You have high damage poke-heroes who can headshot him to the ground (The Punisher is the best).
If you prefer playing dive or brawl heroes, Iron Fist and Wolverine are the best options, but you need to time your attacks right, otherwise he will grab you.
If you struggle, try to play 1 tank, 3 dps, 2 supports comp against Dino.
Abilities
Ability stats can be found on the game’s website.
Keep in mind that when a new season is released, the information on the site is not updated immediately. Especially team-up information.
Melee
- Since melee punches players behind you, you can use it in between your primary when you’re surrounded by enemies.
- In 1 vs. 1 you can weave your melee attacks in between primary, while moving your camera around. Bite, then tail punch, then bite again.
Devil-Beast Rampage
- The moment you initiate the ultimate, your Savage Predation and Frenzied Feast cooldowns are reset. They also shorter during the ultimate, so make sure you use them prior and during the ult.
Prehistoric Plating
- Since you’re CC immune, Jeff or other Dino can not throw you from the ledge without jumping with you. But they may try, so always be ready to bite and grab them in this case.
Team-Ups
Primal Punishment (Enhanced)
- You’re CC immune, but The Punisher is not. Any CC applied to both of you will unmount him.
- There are two ways to make it work:
- Fire from a distance to make The Punisher more resilient to incoming damage.
- Use in a close-range fight. You grab the enemy and The Punisher ends them with a shotgun headshots.
